Feather Falls is one of my favorite hikes. I have been here many times now, in the spring when the falls is raging and at low flow in the fall. It is a spectacular waterfall, plunging 410 ft. along the Fall River. Feather Falls flows year-round, but is most impressive in April, when the snow is melting. Outside of Yosemite, this is one of the best waterfalls in California. The hike is a 7.9 mile loop, moderate. See my website for more info:

Nice video. One suggestion — leave out the music and let us hear just whatever natural sounds your audio system picks up. Much nicer to listen to the falls and river sounds, especially, as if we were out there.

  2. TMI Dave says:

Good start, Leon! I think Kayspod makes a valid point. I'd say use the music much more conservatively and leave plenty of clip-time where we get to hear just the natural sounds of the experience. I know that's one of the reasons I like to watch hiking videos – the vicariousness of the experience. Music definitely has a role though…just maybe a 'less is more' kind of thing.
