  1. jesse Simmons says:

This is my number one rule for everyday carry a flashlight even if you are in your underwear

  2. Wejustmight die says:

2:20 by "self-defense", do you mean deterrence, or like crenulated bevel teeth to the eye?

  3. Jennie Fuller says:

I wonder how much money is wrapped up in all the flashlights there. That is an incredible flashlight stash. Guess I’m going to have to work on mine.

  4. Rylan Cory says:

See.. I explain this to my bank when they wonder where all my money is going and they just don't get it…

  5. Jason Southern harvester says:

What was the distance you were shining in the field to the tree line?

  6. deaththekid416 says:

  7. Alec Shane says:

The MecArmy X7S Multifunctional EDC Capsule Flashlight & Lighter Kit is a pretty cool combo for a bugout bag.

  8. John McClish says:

Great Video!  Seeing the multiple options in action a great help!  Thanks

  9. jeremy s says:

How in the world do i choose a Olight H1 nova??? Theres probably 15 of them on amazon.
Tired of my cheapie headlamp and want a quality one.

  10. Zechnar Ramadon says:

I am still loving my s1r baton! Best and most used light i have ever purchased! I recommend it to anyone for edc. The end cap coming into contact with metal will discharge the battery however. I wish they made a rubber end cap that would stop that. I have had it for a year and it has only happened twice. It sucks when it does though.

  11. pigpaul says:

The king of edc light in my experience is the Nitecore Mh 20. I bought a klarus with that intense strike bezzel & that one died, will never buy that brand again. I would buy streamlight products. But ultimately would buy the next gen nitecore mh20 g.t. Have always on me.

  12. TerracottaCloud says:

Some advertising of my EDC -lights, that you might want to test:

    – Smallest USB-rechargeable keychain light I have found and use regularly, attached on all my keychains: Fenix UC02 . https://www.fenixlighting.com/product/uc02-rechargeable-keychain-flashlight/ Relatively inexpensive, durable, dust-&waterproof, 130 or 10 lumens, good distance, Size: Length: 1.7” (43.2mm) Diameter: 0.6” (14mm), Weight: 0.3 oz. (8g) excluding battery, Batteries: One 10180 rechargeable Li-ion battery (included)

    – Very small EDC headlamp that fits into my cargo pants pocket: Petzl e+LITE https://www.petzl.com/US/en/Sport/CLASSIC-headlamps/ePLUSLITE Not very bright and uses 2 lithium CR2032 batteries (included) , but with that size and only 26 grams, its worth keeping with me most of times.

    – My EDC-backpack and bedside headlamp, USB-rechargeable: Fenix HM50R https://www.fenixlighting.com/product/fenix-hm50r-rechargeable-headlamp/ Detachable for use as a flashlight, headlamp size (including the lamp holder):Length: 2.7″ (67.5mm) Width: 1.3″ (33mm) Height: 1.1″ (28mm) Weight: 2.2 oz. (63g) excluding battery, Batteries:One 16340 rechargeable Li-ion battery (Included) or one CR123A lithium battery.

  13. Chris Ramsey says:

A video on communications! Antennas, radios, walkie talkies, etc! Cannot rely on cell phones for prepping sootch!

  14. B Souza says:

Considers that a Brazilian earns on average 250 dollars a month, and that things cost up to 4 times more expensive here in Brazil, I have to work more than a year to buy all this flashlights :/

  15. Zak C. says:

I have a light around the size of the armytek and it throws like it too. One of the most important thing to worry about for a tactical light is candela(intensity of the light) so you have focused light.

  16. Keith Cronk says:

  17. Kim Townsel says:

🔦🔦🔦 information overload! 😂🤣😂 Seriously, thanks for the in-depth comparison. I finally have some space in my schedule and I'm going to do an unboxing of my Olight Valkyrie and my Olight ion tomorrow! Excited!

  18. Butch Broussard says:

Will an EMP pulse damage/destroy an LED flashlight given the electronics required in an LED?

  19. STEVE R says:

So sad that Mag-Light has not kept up with current technology. Also they haven't addressed the problem of the switch not completely stopping a very small amount of current flowing while switch is off, resulting in the dreaded white powder and a ruined flashlight.
I like buying stuff made in the USA. Sad that streamlights are no longer made in the USA (ProTac HL4 is really nice). But cheers to O light!
Great now I want to buy some O lights.
    Great info, Thanks

  20. derealovefestival Survival says:

I just got the XT12GT KLARUS serious torch.
    Good video Sootch.

  21. STEVE R says:

oops, you need to do a video on lanterns, unless you already did and I missed it, as I'm new to this great channel!
You can't have enough lanterns for when the power fails or you're camping. Propane, battery, kerosene, candle.
plus a solar panel to recharge the batteries

  22. craig heefner says:

Ever consider doing a survival list of those belts you get with shorts that have the 2 rings on the end? I prefer a leather belt but it seems silly to just throw them away

  23. Theodore H Gatanis Jr says:

good video, but why no mention or consideration for black-light urine detector flashlights. they can help find critters, and their trails.

  24. Robert Russo says:

For prepping I only like AA or AAA paired with recharable enloops and solar charger.
But the new 18650 edc/weaponlights are tempting
